Happy Women's History Month! We hope you have the opportunity to talk about important women in history and the improvements they have made in our society.

The holidays are over. The weather is cold, damp, or snowy depending on where you are in the U.S. Hopefully, there are exciting things happening in your classrooms to brighten up the month! A few of this month's articles are designed to help students work towards meeting citizenship and job goals.

Happy New Year! We leave last year behind and look towards the new year. It is a good time to talk about hopes, dreams, and especially goals. Enjoy this time of exploration and have a great month!

The holidays are a great time to share U.S. traditions with students and to have students share the ways that they celebrate holidays in their homes and cultures. Conversations about joyful experiences at the holidays can be some of the most valuable interactions for English Language Learners.

With all the troubles going on in the world, it's a good thing November makes us remember to be thankful for the blessings we usually take for granted and that our students come to this country for. We at Easy English NEWS are thankful for ESL teachers who work hard to bring communication skills to hundreds of thousands of newcomers. Thank you for the work you do.

Hopefully by now your year is off to a productive start. Fall is my favorite time of year. The beginning of school, apples, pumpkins, the anticipation of cooler weather and fall activities. We're glad you're spending your fall with us.

Welcome back to a new school year and welcome to all our new subscribers! This monthly Teacher's Guide gives background information, objectives, and procedures for the major articles, plus reproducible quizzes.

We've made it to June at last! You and your students have worked so hard this year. While we do not publish in July and August, we still spend these months planning and prepping for future issues and projects.

May is an exciting time of the year. In this month's issue, we will talk about the positives and negatives of computer generated images, saving for retirement, and some grammar and speech fun. The first week of May is also ScreenFree Week. This is a great time to get outside and enjoy springtime activities.

Every April we try to focus our topics on the Earth or the environment. There is a real push for governments and corporations to change laws and practices to be more environmentally friendly. Earthday.org chooses the theme for Earth Day every year and this year they chose "Invest in our Planet."

In the March issue, we talk about the Chinese surveillance balloon, ways to borrow money, filing income taxes, and some famous women. We hope this information drives a wealth of learning experiences and conversation practice.

We hope that you and your students aren't having trouble finding motivation in class! Mental health issues can be a sensitive subject, especially for the classroom. But we feel it is important to acknowledge that they exist and help students talk about it in a safe space.
